Kickstart your science journey at our Welcome Social, and more!

By College of Science

The College of Science invites all new and returning science students to our annual Fall Welcome Social on Tuesday, September 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. on the Valley Library Quad, outside Kidder Hall.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for new and returning science students to connect with our community and discover the academic, research and extracurricular opportunities at Oregon State.

Stop by and enjoy some treats while meeting fellow science students. You can learn how to get involved in campus life, where to meet people, where the best study spots are on campus and where the science tutoring centers are – like the Mole Hole, Worm Hole, Vole Hole, Math and Statistics Learning Center and more.

Engage with representatives from our science student clubs. Joining a club is a rewarding way to connect with your community, enhance your classroom learning, build leadership skills and set yourself on a strong career path.

While you mingle, be sure to meet our Peer Advisors, housed in College’s Science Success Center. These sophomore, junior, and senior science students are trained to guide you through campus services, registration, study abroad, internships, research opportunities, and more. They’re available for support via phone, email or in-person meetings at the Science Success Center.

We look forward to meeting you! Please also explore other exciting welcome events supported by the university and the College of Science, including these highlights:
