Visit the Peer Advisors in Kidder 109 for help registering for classes and applying for scholarships and to connect with Team Science at OSU!

The Science Success Center’s Peer Advisors are extensively trained science students who will offer you valuable guidance about on-campus services, programs and resources as you transition to life as an OSU science student.

You can get answers from the Peer Advisors about a science major, classes, research, internship and study abroad opportunities, science student clubs, registration and more. They also can help you register for classes, apply for scholarships and help you feel part of Team Science at OSU.

We are open!

The Science Success Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. During those times we are also available remotely. Email us at sciencesuccess@oregonstate.edu.

Hola! My name is Diego, and I grew up a ferry ride away from Seattle. Outside of academics, I spend most of my time trying to learn more about the world and gaining new experiences. I love doing anything active or outdoors as well! I am excited to be a peer advisor because I love helping people. I am working towards being a high school teacher one day because I love helping others set themselves up for success. After I graduate, I hope to complete a master's in physics and work at a Title 1 high school.

Hi there! My name is Gwen, and I am from Chehalis, Washington. Outside of my classes, I am a member of Sigma Delta Omega, and I like to do activities such as playing games with my friends, watching way too many sit-coms, and crafting. I am excited to be a peer advisor because I love working with people and helping them succeed. In the long term, I want to become a researcher in molecular genetics, where I hope to further research on gene editing tools, such as CRISP-R. I love OSU, and I’m so excited to be a peer advisor!

My name is Katherine, I’m from Portland, OR. I transferred from Portland Community College last year and came here to pursue a bachelor’s degree in BioHealth Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I’m hoping to become a physician’s assistant or a psychiatrist (still trying to decide which one) and work in pediatric care. I love cooking, camping, and playing games with my friends in my free time. I am the vice-president of OSU’s chapter of Out in STEM (oSTEM). As a peer advisor, I’m excited to continue my work from last year and help students feel included and supported in science at OSU! :))

Hello everyone! My name is Jazmin, and I am originally from the small town of Stayton, Oregon. Outside of academics, I am heavily involved in my multicultural community service-based sorority, Kappa Delta Chi. I love cuddling with my not-so-cuddly cats, Milo and Emi, shopping, cafe shops, ramen, and I even started to learn pickleball! I am so excited to be a peer advisor! I cannot wait to connect with more people and am looking forward to helping folks navigate OSU! After completing my bachelor's degree, I plan to further my education by completing a PhD to hopefully become a pediatrician.

Hey, I’m Milo! I’m an art lover and like to spend my free time writing, drawing, and playing games of all kinds. As a peer advisor I get excited about helping students feel like they always have a safe space within the College of Science, I’m grateful for the opportunity to support students in pursuing their goals here at OSU! I am studying Physics, doing research in the Physics department, and working on STEM outreach for underrepresented and underserved groups. After I graduate, I plan to continue work in science communication and research and hope to pursue a career with NASA. :D

Hello! My name is Paige and I’m from Corvallis, Oregon. Outside of class, I enjoy baking/cooking, playing video games, and taking care of my cat Tina. I love being a peer advisor because I love helping and interacting with students as well as learning about all the amazing resources that OSU has to offer. I’m currently studying Microbiology with a minor in chemistry. Long term, my goal is to get into graduate school and pursue a PhD to then go into healthcare-related research about pathogenic microbes.
